  Software is a set of instructions, data or programs used to control computers and perform certain activities. Applications, scripts, and programs that operate on a device all are referred as software. Software can be compared to the variable part of the computer   (Rosencrance, 2021) . There are two types of software: system software and application software. System software directly controls computer hardware and offers basic functionality to users as well as other applications whereas application software is software that performs particular functions or provide functions that go beyond basic operation of a computer   (GeeksforGeeks, 2021) .   When it comes to my software and hardware abilities, I have to admit that my Computer Science knowledge is somewhat limited. I don't have a lot of knowledge and skills regarding it but I am incredibly interested in learning it. However, I am more passionate about learning software than hardware. My present software abilities include of basic operations on office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint which helped me a lot with my high school assignments. I am really very excited to go deep into Computer Science knowledge; I know it will be a difficult journey but I believe in working hard and achieving something worthy. Also, I intend to get as much knowledge and experience as possible throughout my time at DMU.

  I had attended many educational fairs and seminars in Nepal where I came to know about different Universities then I started exploring different universities myself.
